# How to send CXCASH privately

This guide walks through sending CXCASH from cxcash.app to any Aztec address. Send CXCASH from the wallet to any Aztec address. Sends are gasless: the CXCASH contract pays the Aztec network fee (fair-use limits), and first-time account activation is sponsored and happens with your first send. You pay only the CXCASH transfer fee (0.35%, minimum 0.05 CXCASH, never more than 1%).

## Before you send

Confirm the recipient gave you an Aztec address (0x + 64 hex), not an Ethereum L1 address and not the CxCashV2 contract. 0.35% (35 bps) per send, minimum 0.05 CXCASH, capped at 1.00% (100 bps) in the contract.

## Step 1: Open Send → CXCASH

Open [cxcash.app wallet](https://cxcash.app/app), unlock, and choose Send → CXCASH (or use the dedicated send flow if prompted).

## Step 2: Paste the recipient address

Paste the Aztec address. Double-check every character; shielded sends cannot be reversed.

## Step 3: Enter amount and review the fee

Enter the amount. The UI shows the 0.35% fee with minimum 0.05 CXCASH and contract cap 1.00%.

## Step 4: Confirm on your device

Review totals and confirm. Proving runs locally. No Fee Juice balance is required when sponsorship is active.

## Step 5: Done

After submission, your transaction is processed on Aztec mainnet. Explorer visibility for shielded fields is limited by design.

## What is hidden and what is not

Hidden on-chain: sender, receiver and amount for shielded transfers. Not hidden: that you interacted with Aztec, network metadata, and anything you share off-chain or with counterparties.

- Sending to the token contract instead of a personal Aztec address

- Using an Ethereum address

- Skipping the fee review and expecting zero cost
